Eld el Kabir: CP Mobayo Felicitates With Muslim Faithfuls in Ekiti

The Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, CP Tunde Mobayo has congratulated the Muslim faithfuls in the State over the 2021 Eld el kabir celebration while, assuring the residents and and visitors in the Ekiti of adequate security of lives and properties.

DELTA POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, 40 CULTISTS, RECOVER FIRE ARMS

The Command under the watch of CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+ Has recorded another victory over Kidnappers in the state, due to the relentless effort of the police to continuously go after these criminals and also to see that Delta state become uncomfortable for them.

In a press statement by the Command's Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe stated that, "On the 24/04/2021 at about 1000hrs, a complaint was received by the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri, CSP T.Y. Mahmud that on the 23/04/2021 at 2100hrs that while the complainant was with her boyfriend one Peter Okologo ‘m’ age 26yrs, resident of Nigercat Ekpan in Uvwie local government Area , one Ejiro John ‘m’ age 25yrs of Ogbori Community in Warri led a group of armed men, some of them where alleged to be on military uniforms with guns and other weapons.


They stormed their house and Wisk away her boyfriend one Peter Okologo ‘m’ after firing gun shots, took him to an unknown destination.

On the strength of the report, the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri CSP T.Y Mahmud mobilized rapid respond team from the Division and swung into action immediately.

They arrested another suspect one kingsley Omagbemi ‘m’ Age 25yrs.

Both of them were the ones who led the kidnappers to the victim house where he was kidnapped.

Police men visited the scene and recovered three empty shells.

After thorough investigation and interrogation, the two suspects led the police team to Sapele, where the DPO Sapele Division CSP Harrison Nwabuisi also mobilized men from Sapele Division and joined force with men of ‘A’ Division Warri, where one David Isaac Mojo ‘m’ age 32yrs of no 12 Akintola street Sapele was arrested at the kidnappers den, the said David Isaac Mojo has already demanded the sum of one million naira as ransom, he was arrested as he came out to collect the said Ransom, while one Alason ‘m’ surname unknown escape with a black Toyota Camry registration number unknown.


The kidnapped victim was rescued by the police. Suspects in custody while investigation in progress with a view to arrest the other fleeing members of the gang."

"On 23/4/21 at about 2130hrs credible information and intelligence gathered over a period of time by the Delta state police command Anti cult unit (SACU) revealed that Aye confraternities will be carrying out initiation at Ubulu-Unor bush in Aniocha south Local Government Area of Delta State.

The commander SACU, SP Christopher Igbaji immediately mobilized SACU operatives to the scene and arrested forty (40) male suspected cultists.


When the Police got to the venue of the initiation, some armed men who claimed to be of Ubulu-Unor Vigilante were seen keeping watch and aiding the said cultists to carry their initiation, they were also arrested.

Exhibits recovered includes a Revolver pistol with eleven live ammunition, one locally made single barrel gun, one pump action, eight vehicles and one Mitsubishi pickup with the inscription of Ubulu-Unor vigilante, case is under investigation.

Meanwhile, the commissioner of police has also urged all officers and men in the state to keep the tempo, because if this tempo can be sustained, Delta state will definitely be crime free which is the mandate given to Him by the inspector General of police IGP Usman Alkali Baba fdc.


He also advices members of the public, Vigilante, anti cult, and any other volunteers to resist the urge to be used by these miscreant to fulfill their evil motives, instead they should work with the police, give police timely information that will aid their arrest and bring peace and security to the state.

POLICE ARREST VIGILANTE MAN FOR KILLING PASSERBY, 17 SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, RECOVER ARMS

The police operatives attached to Ijora Division of the command, on Tuesday, 13th April 2021, at about 2pm arrested one Vigilante member, Lukman Rasak, m, 30,  for shooting one Musa Yahaya, m, 28, on his chest at Ijora area of the state.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER, RECOVER FIRE ARM/25 LIVE CARTRIDGES AND SNATCHED HIGHLANDER JEEP

On the 4/4/2021 at about 1908hrs, The chairman  of a Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN)  of Zone 12 Hausa Quarters Warri reported that on the same date at about 0100hrs, he received a phone call from one Onajite Okolejo ‘m’  aged 36yrs a VGN member working under the unit that he was being attacked by some armed gang.

DELTA POLICE NABBED SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS, ILLICIT DRUG PEDDLERS, CULTISTS

Following  the protest staged by farmers of Abraka and Umutu over killings and destruction of their farm lands and crops by Herdemen, the Divisional Police Officer of Abraka and Umutu led a Joint Operation comprising of Police Officers.

DSS operatives and Vigilantes from  Ethiope East and Ukwuani Local Government Areas, a Government Reserves Parcel of land at Obiaruku  to clampdown on the suspected criminals suspected criminals and restore nomalcy.
