Marwa warns NDLEA officers against hostage arrest, illegal detention

Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) has warned commanders, officers and men of the Agency against the detention of suspects beyond the limit allowed by law, even as he also prohibited the arrest of a relation, spouse or acquaintance of a suspected drug offender, often referred to as hostage arrest.

Unity Bank Committed to Rice Farmers to meet Self-sufficiency Target in Rice Production – Somefun

LAGOS.04-03-2021: Over 642,860 smallholder farmers across 35 states of the federation have received support from Unity Bank Plc under the CBN’s Anchor Borrower’s Programme, ABP to boost food production and attain self-sufficiency in rice production in Nigeria.

Giving the assessment at the flag-off of the 2020 wet season harvest aggregation in Kebbi State on Tuesday, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Unity Bank Plc, Mrs Tomi Somefun reassured the rice farmers of the commitment of the Bank to providing necessary support to rice farmers in Nigeria.

DELTA LOCAL GOVT COUNCIL ELECTIONS: CP ALI RESTRICTS VEHICULAR MOVEMENT

The Delta State Commissioner of Police,  CP Ari Muhammed Ali has ordered restriction of vehicular movements in Delta State from 12am on Friday 5th to 4pm Saturday 6th March, 2021.

The order was pronounced during the Press briefing with newsmen by the CP Ali towards the forthcoming Local Government Council elections billed to take place in Delta State on Saturday, 6th March, 2021.
