Drug dealer behind cocaine hidden in Lagos airport toilet arrested

• NDLEA recovers 6,043.857kg narcotics from fake security agent, others in Adamawa, Ondo, Ekiti, Edo, Ebonyi

A Brazil based drug dealer, Okafor Okwudili Moses has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA over a 2.55 kilograms of cocaine recovered from a toilet at the E-Arrival hall of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja Lagos.

Lady, 5 others bag 141 years imprisonment for drug trafficking in Edo, Ogun

A 25-year-old lady, Chioma Okocha and five men: Ndubuisi John, Haruna Aliyu, Saddam Abdullahi, Bashir Usman, and Usman Ibrahim have been sentenced to a total of 141 years imprisonment for trafficking in Cocaine and Cannabis Sativa by Federal High Courts sitting in Benin, Edo and Abeokuta, Ogun state respectively.

Drug addiction: NDLEA‘ll establish 6 standard rehab centres across Nigeria – Marwa

As part of efforts to treat the high number of persons suffering drug addiction in the country, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA will establish six standard rehabilitation centres, one in each geo-political zone of Nigeria.

This was disclosed in Abuja on Wednesday, 27th October 2021 by the Chairman/Chief Executive of the NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) at the 5th Biennial National Symposium on Drugs and Drug Policy in Nigeria organised by the Centre for Research and Information on Substance Abuse (CRISA).

NDLEA intercepts 2,060kg Heroin, others at Lagos airport, Ondo, Edo, Kano

• Arrests another fake soldier with drugs; woman who attempted to smuggle skunk hidden in wraps of ‘akpu’ into Agency’s cell for suspect in custody.

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted over 2,060 kilograms of assorted drugs including heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, tramadol and rohypnol in operations at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos as well as Ondo, Edo, Kano, Kaduna, Plateau and some courier companies.

A Nigerian, Okey Eze, who claims to be a tiler by profession has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja with 350 wraps of cocaine worth over N2.3billion in street value.

Credible data key to fight against drug abuse - Marwa

Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) has said that the use of credible data is essential in the fight against drug abuse even as he warned that the number of people using illicit drugs in Africa might rise by 40 percent in year 2030.

NDLEA intercepts 24, 311kgs heroin, codeine in fresh drug busts at Lagos airport, Tincan seaport

Barely a week after the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA intercepted N6 billion worth of Amphetamine, popularly known as jihadists’ drug at the Apapa port in Lagos, operatives of the Agency have again seized over 24, 311 kilograms of heroin, codeine as well as Arizona and Colorado variants of cannabis in fresh drug busts at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja and the Tincan seaport, Apapa, Lagos state.

NDLEA takes campaign against drug abuse to Abuja IDPs’ camp

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Tuesday 24th August took the campaign against drug abuse to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp in Abuja.

The one day sensitization and interactive session held at the Durumi camp was organised by the Agencys Directorate of Drug Demand Reduction in collaboration with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons.
