Introducing Private and Secure WhatsApp Calling on Desktop

We’re excited to announce that private and secure one-to-one voice and video calls are now available on WhatsApp’s desktop app.

Throughout the last year we’ve seen significant increases in people calling one another on WhatsApp, often for long conversations.

You may not be able to send or receive WhatsApp messages after May 15

If you're a WhatsApp user and do not accept its updated terms and conditions by May 15. you won't be able to either send or receive messages on the app.

How to access WhatsApp on your computer

If you’re busy at work and you feel like chatting with somebody on WhatsApp, you can do that on your computer with the aid of an app designed for that purpose.

The web service is compatible with WhatsApp mobile apps on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Blackberry and Nokia’s S60 or S40 phones. Your phone also needs to have a rear-facing camera and WhatsApp has to be turned on.
