BATTERY PROBLEM: EUROPEAN UNION WARNING SYSTEM RECALLS ABOUT 10,000 OPEL AMPERA MOTOR VEHICLES BUILT BETWEEN 2016 AND 2019

As part of its statutory responsibility of enlightening the public on safe road use and in furthering the realisation of the United Nations resolution on Safe System approach, with particular emphasis on Safe Vehicles; the Federal Road Safety Corps wishes to inform the general public that Frankfurt-Opel, the manufacturers of Ampera-E-EVs vehicles have recalled an estimated 10,000 of the Ampera-e vehicles built between 27 June, 2016 and 5 September, 2019 due to battery problems investigated to pose a safety risk to drivers.

DELTA POLICE ARREST ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT, RECOVER TRICYCLE, WEAPON

On 22/04/2021 at about 19930hrs distress call was received by the DPO ‘A’ Division Warri CSP T.Y.

Mahmud from one town service bus driver (name withheld ) , that while he was on his routine transport business with passengers on board along Okere road Warri, a tricycle with registration number SGD 430 VC blocked his bus, one of the occupant brought out a cut to size gun and dispossessed him and his passengers of their phones and other valuables.

POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER, FAKE POLICEMAN, RECOVER ARMS

The Police operatives attached to Itire Division of the Command on 22nd April, 2021, at about 9.40pm, arrested one Samuel Ayooluwa, m, 24, of no fixed addresss, at No 54, Olatilewa Street by Lawanson,  Surulere, Lagos State.

The police operatives on their routine patrol around the area had responded to a distress call from one of the shop owners at the above address that three (3) armed men on motorcycle attacked the customers in the shop and dispossessed them of their belongings.

LAGOS POLICE ARREST, INVESTIGATE POPULAR NOLLYWOOD ACTOR FOR DEFILEMENT

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Olarenwaju James 'm' 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.

The case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya 'f' at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.
