DELTA POLICE ARRESTS RITUALISTS WHO GANG RAPE, MURDER 50 YEAR OLD WOMAN

The Delta State Police Command under the leadership of CP Ari Muhammed Ali has arrested suspected ritualists who gang raped and murdered a 50 years old woman at Umeh Community area of Isoko south local Government of the State.

In a press statement e-signed and released by the Command's Spokesperson, DSP Edafe Bright stated that, "A 50-year old woman, Mrs. Patience Komore, has been killed by suspected ritualists at Umeh community, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State."

LAGOS POLICE ARREST, INVESTIGATE POPULAR NOLLYWOOD ACTOR FOR DEFILEMENT

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Olarenwaju James 'm' 48, aka Baba Ijesha, popular Nollywood actor for defiling a minor.

The case of defilement was reported on 19th April, 2021 by one Princess Adekola Adekanya 'f' at Sabo Police Station and transferred to the Gender Unit of the State CID, Panti, Yaba Lagos for proper investigation.

Hoodlums gangrape three girls at Ekiti EndSARS protest – AG

Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda, said on Tuesday that no fewer than three girls were gangraped at the Fajuyi Park area of the state capital on Sunday by hoodlums who had hijacked the EndSARS protest.

Fapohunda, who frowned at the development, said, “Rape and robbery cannot be the values of EndSARS protesters. It may now be necessary to alert all those participating in the protests, specifically girls and women to note that there exists hoodlums in their midst whose agenda is to rape and rob.

Police Apprehend 28 Years Old Man Accused Of Raping Minor In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested one Adetayo Razaq for raping an eight-year-old girl in the Ikorodu area of the state.
The suspect was arrested on the 9th of April 2020 after the victim’s father reported at Ikorodu Police Station that his eight years old daughter was raped.

It was learnt that Segun Durojaiye, a teacher at the Ijagba Community High School, Sotubo, Sagamu took the victim into custody after her mother died when she was an infant.

Teacher arrested for having anal sex with pupil

The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday said it had arrested a 20-year-old primary school teacher, Collins Obi, for raping a 10-year-old boy in Ibadan.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said  the teacher committed sodomy on November 5, 2016, explaining that apart from teaching in the school where the victim attended, he was also the boy’s personal teacher.

No excuse for rape, corruption in IDP camps – Saraki

The President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has said increasing social injustices like rape, diversion of food items and other corruption related cases within the Internally Displaced Persons’ camps are inexcusable.
A statement by the Special Assistant to the Senate President on Print Media, Chuks Okocha, quoted Saraki as saying this when a delegation of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees led by Mrs. Angele Dikongue-Atangana visited him at the National Assembly, Abuja, on Tuesday.

Man arrested for raping, impregnating 15-year-old stepdaughter

A 40-year-old man, Victor Emafolomi, has been detained by the police for allegedly raping his wife’s daughter, Keji.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the suspect was apprehended on Sunday by the police from the Agbado division after the mother of the victim reported the case.
Keji (pseudonym) lived with her mother and Emafolomi on Olukososi Street, Jafa, Agbado, in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Emafolomi was said to have raped Keji on two occasions in October, threatening to kill her if she informed her mother.

A trader, Uchena Elumadu, 49, who allegedly raped his daughter in the Agege area of Lagos State, has said he was drunk the first time he raped her.
Elumadu said his friends made him drunk that night.

Police arrest man for raping 15-year-old daughter

The Lagos State Police Command have arrested a man for allegedly raping his 15-year-old daughter and administering drugs on her to prevent pregnancy.
The spokesperson of the state Police Command, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the arrest on Saturday.

School- leaver rapes four-year-old girl in her brother’s presence

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Bassey Johnson, for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in the Idimu area of the state.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the school-leaver, who is also learning a trade, allegedly raped the girl, Fatima (pseudonym), when she and her elder brother went to watch a television in the suspect’s apartment.

Man, 43, assaults father, rapes mother

An Egor Magistrates’ Court in Benin, on Thursday, remanded one Humphrey Omoregieva, 43, in prison over alleged assault on his parents.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Ayo Augustine, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Aug. 1, at No. 294, Upper Mission, Benin.

Court jails film director seven years over rape

An Indian court on Thursday sentenced a Bollywood director to seven years in jail for raping an American research scholar last year, the victim’s lawyer said.
Mahmood Farooqui, best known for co-directing the popular 2010 satire “Peepli Live” on farmer suicides, was convicted on Saturday after a fast-track court in New Delhi found him guilty of the March 2015 attack.

Supreme Court affirms 5 years jail term for rapist

THE Supreme Court, Monday affirmed the judgment of a High Court sitting in Oleh, Delta State which sentenced one Mr. Afor Lucky to five years imprisonment with hard labour for raping an 11-year-old girl.

Dismissing an appeal brought before it by Mr. Afor Lucky, challenging the ruling of the High Court, the Supreme Court agreed with arguments of the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Peter Mrakpor that the lower court was right to have convicted and sentenced the appellant.

Alfa abducts, rapes Dubai returnee in Lagos

The police in Ogun State have rescued a 24-year-old Dubai returnee from the custody of an Islamic cleric five months after he allegedly abducted her from the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The suspect, Olalekan Anifowoshe, aka Alfa, was said to have kept the victim, Simbiat (pseudonym), in his rented apartment in the Atan-Ota area of the state and allegedly had sex with her during the period.

Outrage as 30 men rape 16-year-old, post video online

Two gang rapes of teenage girls including one supposedly involving 30 men that was filmed and posted online have shocked Brazil.
The UN women’s rights agency condemned the cases after the video was posted on Twitter apparently by one of the rapists who boasted about the assault.
