NIGERIAN ARMY CONFIRMS KILLING OF BRIG GEN. ZIRKUSU BY ISWAP

The Nigerian Army had confirmed the killing of Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkusu, the Commander of 28 Task Force Brigade, Chibok and three soldiers on while, on their way to reinforce troops at Bungulwa village, near Askira Uba, Borno State.

The 82 Division Nigerian Army has noted with utmost concern, a baseless allegation aired through an outlawed online radio that the Division of the Nigerian Army is currently constructing a Ruga Settlement between Ochima and Affa in Igbo-Etiti and Udi Local Government Areas, Enugu State.

COAS FLAGS-OFF EXERCISES GOLDEN DAWN, ENDURING PEACE AND STILL WATER NATION WIDE

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya will on Monday 4 October, 2021, perform the flag-off  of Exercises GOLDEN DAWN, ENDURING PEACE and STILL WATER nation wide.

The COAS will symbolically flag-off all Exercises at the venue of Exercise GOLDEN DAWN which will take place at Ovie-Emene, Enugu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.

NIGERIAN ARMY INSTITUTES INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGED KILLING OF A FINAL YEAR STUDENT OF UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a viral video alleging the killing of a final year student of the University of Calabar, Mr Gray Agbesu, on Friday 9 July 2021 by a serving soldier  deployed on duty at the Calabar Correctional Service facility.

COAS ASSURES WOUNDED PERSONNEL OF COMMITMENT TO THEIR TREATMENT

The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has reitrated  Nigerian Army’s (NA) commitment to  giving prompt attention to the medical needs of wounded officers and soldiers at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.

The COAS gave the assurance today Thursday 8 April, 2021 while visiting wounded personnel in the hospital.

The Commandant proceeded on the visit, in a bid to further widen the synergy between the Corps and other Security Services and sister Agencies in the state.

Buhari, Osinbajo decorates Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya with new rank

President Muhammadu Buhari today elavated and decorated the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Farouk Yahaya with his new badge of rank of Lieutenant General.

This is coming after the National Assembly screened and confirmed the COAS in line with the constitutional provisions.

GOC FEJOKWU LEADS 81 DIVISION ARMY AND FAMILY ON ANNUAL ARMY DAY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION

It was an atmosphere of ecstatic joy in St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church Nigeria, Army Cantonment, Ikeja, Lagos where General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. LA Fejokwu led the men, officers and families under his administration for the annual Nigerian Army Day celebration (NADCEL) 2021.

Full of thanksgiving to the Lord, Maj. Gen. Fejokwu expressed his gratitude to God while also commending the efforts of the gallant Nigerian Army.

As part of the weeklong activities marking the Nigerian Army Day celebration 2021 which is 158th of its kind, the 9 Brigade Army Cantonment, Ikeja conducted a medical outreach to its host community, the Onigbongbo kingdom on Saturday, 3rd July 2021.

The medical outreach held at the Onigbongbo Palace square further strengthens the existing relationship between the Army and the host community.

The Brigade Commander of the Nigerian Army 9 Brigade Command, Maryland, Ikeja, Brig. Gen. M. L. D. Saraso has yet again fulfilled his promise to support the Little Wonders FC, the football team resident in the cantonment with a visit of Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi. This is in line with his decision to spur Little Wonders to success as they prepare to play in the Lagos State League.

This is why the Rotary Club International has made it a point to fill this crucial need wherever they discover it in the communities they work.

This core policy thrust is what made the Rotary Club Ikeja-GRA District 9110 to for the third time install a water facility in the 9 Brigade Army Cantonment Ikeja.

IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, has condoled with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, the Nigerian Armed Forces, families and friends of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, other military officers and crew, who died in an unfortunate air-mishap while on national assignment on Friday, 21st May, 2021.
