AIR FORCE COUNCIL APPROVES PROMOTION OF 29 AIR VICE MARSHALS, 31 AIR COMMODORES AND GRANTS CONCESSIONAL COMMISSION TO 6 SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS

It's promotion galore as the Nigerian Air Force approved the promotion of sixty senior officers to the next higher ranks in the force.

In a press statement received by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) and e-signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet stated that, "The Air Force Council (AFC) has approved the promotion of a total of 60 senior officers comprising 29 Air Vice Marshals (AVMs) and 31 Air Commodores (Air Cdres) to the next higher ranks in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

STILL WATER, ENDURING PEACE, GOLDEN DAWN: ARMY REELS OUT SUCCESSES, SAYS EXERCISES NOT TAGETED AT MILITARY OCCUPATION

The Nigerian Army has said that its exercises launched early October to bring about peace in various regions of the nation as the Yuletide season approaches, are yielding veritable successes.

While reeling out the successes the exercises, which include Still Waters, Enduring Peace and Golden Dawn, have achieved, the Director, Army Public Relations, who represented the Chief of Army Staff, General Yahaya Farouk, maintained that the exercises were not targeted at military occupation of the South East zone, adding that the operations cover the southeast, southwest, southsouth and North Central zones.

Troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army conducting Exercise GOLDEN DAWN have neutralised four gunmen of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra/ Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) in a fierce encounter at Nnobi Junction, Idemili South Local Government Area on Friday 29 October 2021.

ARMY IS NOT CONSTRUCTING RUGA SETTLEMENT IN ANY PART OF SOUTH EAST

The 82 Division Nigerian Army has noted with utmost concern, a baseless allegation aired through an outlawed online radio that the Division of the Nigerian Army is currently constructing a Ruga Settlement between Ochima and Affa in Igbo-Etiti and Udi Local Government Areas, Enugu State.

CAS OLADAYO AMAO RECEIVES INTERIM REPORT OF KING AIR-350 AIR CRASH

The interim report on the aircraft accident which happened in Kaduna about three months ago involving the military aircraft, NAF King Air-350 has been submitted to the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao yesterday.

The report was jointly worked on by a team comprising safety officers from Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB).

The Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali inaugurated a 36 member Joint Peace Committee today 11 September 2021 at the Operation's  Headquarters in Jos.

The Committee is to recommend measures to be taken to find lasting solution to the incessant clashes and killings among various ethnic groups in the State.

REPORT ON THE PRESENCE OF CRIMINALS AT DUTSEN KURA COMMUNITY

Information received at Operation SAFE HAVEN indicated the presence of criminals/militia at Dutsen Kura community in Bassa LGA of Plateau State.

Consequently, the Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Maj Gen IS Ali immediately ordered troops to move to the area to ascertain the veracity of the information and clear the area of the criminals/militia.

Some individuals who apparently are beneficiaries of crisis have formed the habit of circulating old and recycled videos, voice and old text messages of violence.

In February, 2020, a firm of Leading Forensic Auditors in the country was nominated and appointed at Federal Executive Council to look into the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) from inception to August, 2019. COAS ASSURES WOUNDED PERSONNEL OF COMMITMENT TO THEIR TREATMENT

The Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has reitrated  Nigerian Army’s (NA) commitment to  giving prompt attention to the medical needs of wounded officers and soldiers at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.

The COAS gave the assurance today Thursday 8 April, 2021 while visiting wounded personnel in the hospital.

The Commandant, Nigera Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Commandant Eweka Douglas Okoro, MSC ACMA CNA, earlier today visited the Commander 9Brigade Nigerian Army in his office in Ikeja, Lagos.

The Commandant proceeded on the visit, in a bid to further widen the synergy between the Corps and other Security Services and sister Agencies in the state.

Buhari, Osinbajo decorates Chief of Army Staff, Farouk Yahaya with new rank

President Muhammadu Buhari today elavated and decorated the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Farouk Yahaya with his new badge of rank of Lieutenant General.

This is coming after the National Assembly screened and confirmed the COAS in line with the constitutional provisions.

It was an atmosphere of ecstatic joy in St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Church Nigeria, Army Cantonment, Ikeja, Lagos where General Officer Commanding 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. LA Fejokwu led the men, officers and families under his administration for the annual Nigerian Army Day celebration (NADCEL) 2021.

Full of thanksgiving to the Lord, Maj. Gen. Fejokwu expressed his gratitude to God while also commending the efforts of the gallant Nigerian Army.

As part of the weeklong activities marking the Nigerian Army Day celebration 2021 which is 158th of its kind, the 9 Brigade Army Cantonment, Ikeja conducted a medical outreach to its host community, the Onigbongbo kingdom on Saturday, 3rd July 2021.

The medical outreach held at the Onigbongbo Palace square further strengthens the existing relationship between the Army and the host community.
