NBA’S THREE MAN COMMITTEE SUBMITS REPORT ON CONFLICTING ORDERS OBTAINED IN POLITICAL MATTERS TO NBA PRESIDENT

The Nigerian legal community recently witnessed a spate of conflicting orders that were obtained and granted from various courts across the country in political cases, which created ripples all over the nation.

The uproar necessitated the NBA President, Mr Olumide Akpata to set-up a three man Committee made up of Dr. Babatunde Ajibade SAN, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Mr. Oluwaseun Abimbola SAN, Chairman of the Section on Legal Practice and Dr. Monday Ubani, Chairman of the Section on Public Interest and Development Law.

NNDC FORENSIC AUDIT - A PROMISE KEPT By Dr Monday Ubani

In February, 2020, a firm of Leading Forensic Auditors in the country was nominated and appointed at Federal Executive Council to look into the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) from inception to August, 2019. It was not  only this lead Forensic Consultant that  was appointed, 16 other Field Forensic Auditors were  also procured to handle the complex audit process of the Agency.

Pastor Ukpong to Justice Okoro: You lied against me

A bosom friend of the embattled Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court, Pastor Ebebe Ukpong, yesterday, disowned the claim by the judge that he led the Akwa Ibom State All Progressive Congress Governorship Candidate, Mr. Umana Umana, to his home to lobby for his victory at the apex court.

Pastor Ukpong, a former Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Education and Economic Development, said in a statement made available to Saturday Vanguard in Abuja last night, that he had never in his lifetime led anyone to Justice Okoro for any political reason and will never do so as a child of God.
