The Chairman, Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce), CSP Shola Jejeloye, has said that Nigerian celebrities must take up the challenge of becoming real role models to the youths in terms of becoming advocates of discipline, good morals and acceptable ways of living.

NDLEA recovers 27 rifles in Niger, destroys 5 hectares of cannabis farm in Ondo

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Niger State Command have recovered 27 new rifles from two suspects during a routine stop and search operation in Kontagora area of the state.

The suspects; Danjuma Auta, 35, and Daniel Danrangi, 25, both male and from Dirin Daji, Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State were arrested along Kontagora – Zuru road, Niger state on Monday night.

A transborder drug trafficker, 36-year-old Nkem Timothy, alias Auwalu Audu has been arrested in Sokoto by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, while trying to cross to Algeria through the Niger Republic with 62 wraps of substance suspected to be cocaine weighing 1.550kg, which has an estimated street value of about N1billion.
