With the successful completion of the 2021 Ramadan fasting by Muslims across the world, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has congratulated the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of Eid el fitr to mark the event, stressing the need to sustain the spirits of love, kindness and unity demonstrated in the holy month beyond the celebration.

FRSC APPROVES THE PROMOTION OF 1 DEPUTY CORPS MARSHAL, 9 ASSISTANT CORPS MARSHALS AND 26 CORPS COMMANDERS
The Federal Road Safety Commission has approved the promotion of 1 Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM), 9 Corps Commanders (CC) to the rank of Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) and 26 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) to the rank of Corps Commander.

FRSC CHARGES MOTORISTS TO PICK UP UNCOLLECTED PERMANENT DRIVER'S LICENCE IN LAGOS
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos Sector Command, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide on Wednesday admonished motorists driving with temporary driver's licence to pick up their Permanent Driver's Licence.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command wishes to express our appreciation to all motoring public in the state for their patience during the closure of Third Mainland Bridge which is finally opened for use today 27th February, 2021 from 12noon.
The Lagos State Sector Commander of FRSC, Corps Commander Olusegun Ogungbemide gave this appreciation in a statement signed by Route Commander Olabisi Sonusi FRSC Public Education Officer.

Governor Of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Declares State Of Emergency On Refuse, Traffic Management
Governor of Lagos state, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has declared a state of emergency on environment as he signs the first executive order on refuse management, traffic management and public works.
Sanwo-Olu shared the news on his Twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu. He said, ” I signed an executive order on indiscriminate refuse dumping, traffic management and public works.”
According to Sanwo-Olu, these unaddressed traffic and environmental violations continued to constitute a nuisance that threatened the safety and well-being of all citizens.

Traffic offenders to pay N100,000 fine, says FRSC
Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, says plans are underway to compel traffic offenders to pay N100,000 as penalty for a traffic offence.
Oyeyemi said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the Technical Working Group on Nigeria Road Safety Strategy on Wednesday in Abuja.
“You cannot arrest somebody for using a phone while driving and he pays N4,000 as penalty. And almost immediately he goes back to commit same offence.
