#EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu orders probe into Lekki shootings

The Lagos State Government has ordered an investigation into reports of “live ammunition fired at peaceful protesters” at the Lekki Toll Plaza Tuesday evening.

Amnesty International had said the “excessive use of force” occasioned “deaths of protesters”.

#EndSARS: DJ Switch, others help protesters shot at Lekki Toll Gate

A popular female disc jockey, DJ Switch, has taken to her Instagram Live to show the aftermath of the shoot out at Lekki Toll Gate.

It has been reported that the peaceful protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate have been shot at by Nigerian law enforcement agents.

In the live video, the disc jockey streamed where she and other peaceful protesters tried to remove a bullet from the leg of a victim of the shoot out.

Reactions trail Sanwo-Olu’s 24 hours curfew order

Following the violent trend of #EndSARS protests, Governor Babaji  Sanwo-Olu has, on Tuesday declared a 24-hour curfew in Lagos state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made this known on Tuesday, through his social media handle.

Sanwo-Olu says the peaceful protest has slid into a monster that is threatening social lives of Lagosians. The governor lamented that criminal elements are hiding behind the peaceful protest to unleash terror on the state.

Hoodlums gangrape three girls at Ekiti EndSARS protest – AG

Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Olawale Fapohunda, said on Tuesday that no fewer than three girls were gangraped at the Fajuyi Park area of the state capital on Sunday by hoodlums who had hijacked the EndSARS protest.

Fapohunda, who frowned at the development, said, “Rape and robbery cannot be the values of EndSARS protesters. It may now be necessary to alert all those participating in the protests, specifically girls and women to note that there exists hoodlums in their midst whose agenda is to rape and rob.

BREAKING: Three dead as hoodlums burn down police station, church in Abuja

The Dutse Makaranta Police Station, Kubwa, Abuja, has been set ablaze by suspected hoodlums.

The station and a church were said to have been razed during a clash between security operatives and hoodlums on Tuesday.

The incident was also said to have led to the death of three persons.

15 killed in #EndSARS protests - Amnesty

At least 15 people have been killed, including two policemen, since protests against police brutality erupted in Nigeria this month, according to Amnesty International on Monday.

Anger over abuses by Nigeria police’s notorious Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) forced the government to scrap the unit, but protests have continued and snowballed into calls for sweeping changes in the West African powerhouse.

[BREAKING] #EndSARS: FG deploys soldiers in Abuja

The Federal Government has deployed soldiers in several strategic locations in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The PUNCH observed that the deployment began around 10 pm on Sunday barely days after the military high command announced that it would commence the ‘Operation Crocodile Smile’.

While policemen cordoned off parts of the Three Arms Zone, Ralph Shodeinde Street, soldiers were stationed at strategic parts of the Goodluck E. Jonathan Expressway through AYA Roundabout to the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
