LNSA / DSS PARTNER FOR SAFER LAGOS

The Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency and the Department of State Security has concluded plans to partner to make Lagos safer.

Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan made this known after a visit to Sheikh Mohammed Waziri, State Director of the State Security Service and his management at the Shangisa Office of the Agency.

Following discussions with the Management of the Department where several areas of interest were discussed, the two Agencies agreed there was a need for fluid synergy among the various State actors in  State's security architecture.

Earlier during the visit, Prince Oyekan thanked the  Management Team of the State Office of the DSS for the warm welcome and the cordial relationship the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency has enjoyed from the Department of  Security Service in the past.

The General Manager however requested for a deeper relationship in terms of Training, intelligence sharing and Enforcement back up from the more illustrious Agency.

In his response, Sheikh commended the men and officers of the Neighborhood Safety Agency, while imploring them to live up to their mandate as a grassroots Agency, while he also promised to work with the Lagos State Neighborhood Safety Agency in the key areas mentioned by the General Manager of Agency.

Prince Ifalade Oyekan expressed delight with the reception and discussions between the two Agencies.

"I am happy we have a wider latitude to work together to attain the 6th pillar of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu's Agenda which makes the safety of the residents a top priority of his administration"
