TASKFORCE ARRESTS 16 MISCREANTS OVER VIOLENCE IN CELE BUS STOP

Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit has arrested 16 miscreants believed to have masterminded violence and robbing of commuters in Iyana Cele and Iyana Isolo.

The miscreants, who capitalized on the peaceful no work protest embarked upon by drivers of commercial buses on Oshodi – Mile 12 Expressway to unleash mayhem on commuters, were caught molesting passersby and destroying public facilities.

NDLEA takes campaign against drug abuse to Abuja IDPs’ camp

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Tuesday 24th August took the campaign against drug abuse to the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camp in Abuja.

The one day sensitization and interactive session held at the Durumi camp was organised by the Agencys Directorate of Drug Demand Reduction in collaboration with the National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons.

As part of proactive efforts to keep criminals away from the state and reassure the public of their safety and protection, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has directed all Area Commanders, Commanders of Taskforce, Tactical Teams, Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, RRS, and other Operational Units in the Command to immediately embark on massive, aggressive, purposeful and well-coordinated 'show of force' across the nook and cranny of the State.

Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) on Wednesday 25th August joined widows of deceased officers of the Agency to appreciate and pray for President Muhammadu Buhari for granting intervention fund to pay the burial entitlements of at least 188 personnel who died in active service.
