The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said  the teacher committed sodomy on November 5, 2016, explaining that apart from teaching in the school where the victim attended, he was also the boy’s personal teacher.
Trump will support our struggle – IPOB, youths
The Indigenous People of Biafra on Wednesday congratulated the President -elect of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump, on his electoral victory.
The group, in a statement made available to our correspondent in Awka and signed by the IPOB Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, urged Trump to fulfil his campaign promises to Americans and others around the world.
Yoruba, Egun youths clash in Lekki, burn 200 structures
No fewer than 200 structures were burnt on Wednesday in Otodo Gbame, an Egun community in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State, during a clash between some Egun and Yoruba youths.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the crisis started on Sunday, when the Yoruba youths demanded that the residents should relocate from the area.
It was gathered that the Egun community insisted that residents would not leave their houses, tagging the youths as hoodlums and land grabbers.

Militant group begs military for amnesty, returns weapons
Members of the Bakassi Strike Force, one of the militant groups operating in the Akwa-Ibom and Cross River States of the Niger Delta have reached out to the authorities of the Department of State Service expressing their readiness to stop further hostilities on oil facilities and accept amnesty.
This followed series of military attacks on suspected hideouts in the two states which had led to the arrest of several members of the militant group while some reportedly lost their lives during gun battles with soldiers.
Reps ask security agencies to arrest ‘MMM’ promoters
The House of Representatives on Wednesday asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria to immediately go after the promoters Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox, otherwise known as ‘MMM’ in Nigeria.
Lawmakers strongly opposed the investment scheme, which lately gained popularity among Nigerians in the wake of the current economic recession in the country.
