ARMED ROBBER CAPTURED, DIED, OTHERS FLED WITH STUDENTS VALUABLES IN EKITI

A suspected robber has died and three others fled after a spectacular counter-attacks by the irate students of Ekiti State University.

Police operatives of the Ekiti RRS were first alerted that a number of armed men had approached the Students' Hostels Opposite Ekiti State University, Iworoko-Ekiti.

The Lagos State Police Command immediately swung into action on a show of force across strategic locations in Lagos today Thursday 10th June, 2021, with some of the newly received security vehicles and gadgets from the Lagos State Govenrment, just after the Commissioning of the equipment by the President and Commader-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,  Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari today at the Police College, Ikeja-Lagos.

LNSA BOSS, OYEKAN PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO RRS COMMANDER, EGBEYEMI, SOLICITS FOR COLLABORATION ON SECURITY IN LAGOS

OKADA RIDERS' FIGHT: POLICE RESTORE NORMALCY TO IYANA IBA/ALABA RAGO AXIS, DEBUNK RUMOUR OF ETHNIC CLASH

EKITI POLICE ARRESTS FIVE SUSPECTED CULTISTS

The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested five (5) suspected cultists in the State.

In a press statement e-signed by the Command's Spokesperson, ASP Abutu Sunday stated that, "On 25th April, 2021 at about 0130hrs, information was received by the Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Ekiti State Command, that some members of the BLACK AXE(AIYE) secret confraternity were holding an initiation rite inside a bush behind Ekiti State University(EKSU) Campus, Iworoko-Ekiti."

A horde of human rights and civil liberty advocates and bodies in Lagos and across the country have continue to commend police operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos for exhibiting uncommon level of professionalism in the face of a supposedly unbearable provocation by a defaulting motorist who was stopped for driving against traffic (One Way), in line with the Lagos state revised traffic law 2018.

The Lagos State Police Command, on Saturday 17th April, 2021, arrested one Victor Ebhomenyen, m, 33, for driving against the traffic, assaulting and causing severe bodily injuries on an Assitant Superintendent of Police, Erhator Sunday,m, at Four Point Hotel, Oniru, Lagos State.

Police arrest 130 hoodlums over Lagos attacks

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 130 suspects in connection with the unrest and attacks by hoodlums in various parts of the state during the lockdown.
This followed PUNCH Metro’s story that residents of some communities in Ogun and Lagos states had turned themselves into vigilantes to resist attacks by hoodlums, including the Awawa Boys and One Million Boys, among others.

Lockdown: Police bar traders from Computer Village


The Rapid Response Squad, a section of the Lagos State Police Command, have warned traders loitering at the entrance of Computer Village in the state capital, Ikeja.

Computer Village, a phone and technology accessories market, has been on lockdown in compliance with the order of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), as part of measures to curb the circle of transmission of coronavirus in the state.
