Aisha Buhari no Longer Wants to be Called “Wife of the President”

The Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, on Thursday announced that she should henceforth be addressed as the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mrs Buhari said the “Wife of the President” title caused “confusion from the state as to whether the wives of state governors are to be addressed as the first ladies or wives of the governors.”

Buhari’s first tenure ‘a bitter pill to swallow’ — Human Rights group

Centre for Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Crusade, CHURAC, yesterday, dismissed President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim of achievements in the last four years, saying, he fumbled in his three target areas of security, corruption and economy.

The group in a statement by its National President, Cleric Alaowei, said: “In fact, President Buhari’s first term performances if any, are a bitter pill to swallow. He has unarguably failed in his three prone areas of security, corruption and the economy. We pray that the country should not continue in this miserable path in his second term.

CHILDREN’S DAY: Spend more time with your children, Buhari tells parents

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, called on parents to monitor the activities of their children by spending more time with them, noting that Parents should ensure that the children keep good company to avoid negative peer pressure.

He also said the Federal Government had concluded arrangements to review the National Drug Control Master Plan of 2015 – 2019 as part of moves to focus on drug control and consumption.

Speaking in Abuja at the event to mark the 2019 Children’s Day Celebration, President Buhari appealed to all ministries, departments, agencies (MDAs), civil society organisations, international partners, religious leaders, traditional rulers,  teachers and most importantly, parents and adolescents themselves to work together to addressing the challenges of drug abuse.
