NPF, PSC SET TO CONCLUDE 2020 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The Nigeria Police Force in collaboration with the Police Service Commission will be concluding the ongoing 2020 recruitment exercise of Ten Thousand (10,000) Police Constables into the service of the Nigeria Police Force.

POLICE NEED HELP, AIG AJANI SAYS AS HE BOWS OUT OF SERVICE

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 11 Command, Osogbo, AIG Olasupo Babatunde Ajani, has called for more assistance for the Police as he retires after 33 years of meritoriously service to fatherland.

AIG Olasupo Babatunde Ajani, who joined the Police Force as a Cadet ASP on March 25, 1988, gave thanks to God that his retirement was not as a result of illness or death but on age grounds.

LAGOS DEPUTY PPRO, MATILDA NGBARONYE DECORATED WITH SP RANK, SAYS 'I AM GRATEFUL TO BE PROMOTED UNDER LEADERSHIP OF CP ODUMOSU'

The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer (DPPRO) in the Lagos State Command, Matilda Umiah Ngbaronye has been promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the new promotion within the Nigerian Police.

During the decoration ceremony administered by the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, the deputy image maker of the Command whose appointment as the DPPRO came on the 12th December 2020 expressed her deep gratitude to God, the police hierarchy in the nation and her superior, the CP Hakeem Odumosu.

Police raid Rivers kidnappers’ den, kill one, recover arms

The Rivers State Police Command on Saturday raided suspected kidnappers’ den in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of the state, killing one fleeing suspect in the process.
The police also recovered a cache of arms and ammunition reportedly used by the gang to terrorise motorists and passengers along the Ogoni-Uyo axis of East-West Road.

Police arrest inspector filmed for collecting N40,000 bribe during lockdown

A policeman in the Okota axis of the Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State has been arrested for taking bribe from a motorist.
The inspector, whose name tag gave away in the video as ‘Taloju Martins’, was seen to be counting N1000 notes said to be 40 pieces.

Five policemen missing in Rivers after ambush

THE Rivers State Police Command on Fridaydeclared five policemen missing after an ambush by unknown gunmen on Wednesdayat Okujagu waterways in Okrika Local Government Area.
The command also announced the arrest of 53 suspects in connection with the missing policemen.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Muhammad, said in a statement that the policemen were part of a team that were on a routine police inquiry when they were attacked before they could disembark from the boat conveying them.
