TIME TO 'REBUILD, RESTRUCTURE, AND RESET IKORODU' AS AAREBINRIN OLABANJI-OBA HOLD CITYWIDE MEGA-RALLY; SUES FOR CALM IN SATURDAY'S PRIMARIES

Ikorodu LGA Chairmanship aspirant, Aarebinrin Hon. Folashade Olabanji-Oba is held a mega political rally across the length and breadth of Ikorodu yesterday.

This is to increase her chances as the All Progressives Congress (APC) holds the party primaries in all local councils across Lagos state.

Banking on the huge support that she has built over the years as the Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area, Aarebinrin Olabanji-Oba believes that a great opportunity has been made ready for her in the minds of the young and old in Ikorodu.

Many residents of the council have recounted many instances of her political and philanthropic presence in the state of affairs in the vast local council.

She has shown up as a strong political force during circumstances of insecurity, youth activities, women programmes, and children support.

Speaking with Oki Samson of Trek Africa Newspaper, Hon. Princess Olabanji-Oba noted about the vociferous support, 'it is a people's project.

It is all about the people. The people must win. Ikorodu is first for me.'

'On a day like this, I am more inspired for the show of love and support. It is time to rebuild, restructure, and reset Ikorodu'

The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi has often praised the woman's dexterity in the political space and her impact in the communities in Ikorodu. The grassroots mobilizer stated about the royal father: 'Kabiyesi is a father for me and for all of us.

He believes in us and supports us to be the best. He leads from the heart.

It is a big commitment to say that he is counting on us to do him proud. It's a new dawn'

It is to be noted that two other chairmanship aspirants dropped their political aspirations yesterday in support of the political amazon.

However, the political stalwart, Folashade is not leaving any stone unturned.

'This is a call to do more. I hope and pray that this will work for Ikorodu, every politics is local', she said.

The grassroots mobilizer has, nevertheless, pleaded with every resident of Ikorodu to embrace peace and security heading to the party primaries this Saturday.

'As a mother, it doesn't bring joy for any harm or hurt to be done to anybody no matter what the case is. Let everything be done in peace', she emphasized in her chat with Trek Africa Newspaper.

It is noteworthy that the leaders of the governing party in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole, All Progressives Congress (APC) have made it clear that every contestant should test their popularity in a open ballot primary election just as it was done ahead of the 2019 elections.

It is explained that the Option A4 political process brings no rancour and proves to all and sundry that APC embraces all.

Further, the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has notified that he does have any 'anointed' candidate and has warned everyone not to mention his name in any reported or unreported case of godfatherism arising in the local government elections.
