The association of traditional medicine practitioners says they have the panacea to President Muhammadu Buhari’s ailment.
Members of the National Association of the Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners [NANTMP], has urged the Presidency to, as a matter of urgency, bring back President Muhammadu Buhari from the United Kingdom as they have all it takes to heal him.
According to the Patron of the body, Dr. Adesunmiboye Fawawo, whatever ailment the President is battling with can only be cured by traditional medicine if only the Presidency consults them.
Making the claims in an interview, Dr.
Fawawo said that many Nigerians underate traditional medicine as having
the capacity to healing any ailment and that is why many die cheaply because the practice of medicinal and therapeutic use of plants is not encouraged while orthodox medicine was being promoted.
“President
Muhammadu Buhari is our national leader and we must guard him with all
jealousy. We are a national body which is recognized by the Federal
Government.
The association was
established during the tenure of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and
he uses our products. You can see how strong he is even at his age.
We
have been able to treat patients whose families had lost hope on their
recovery. Unfortunately, we have not been consulted to treat President
Buhari. We can treat him and the government must realize that traveling
abroad for treatment may not solve the issue.
If
you get to mortuaries, many corpses found there are those of rich
people because they don’t trust their health with local treatment. Many
rich people believe in expensive drugs and treatment but this will go a
long way to deepen the recession,” Dr. Fawowe said.

The
NANTMP boss added that those who were afraid of the potency of herbs
usually frighten others by saying herbs caused kidney problems and other
issues insist that if the Presidency consults them and bring back the
President for traditional treatment, he will be healed.
