Delta to immortalise Stephen Keshi

As a mark of honour for his contribution to football in Nigeria, Delta state government has revealed that plans are underway to immortalise the late ex-Super Eagles coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, who passed away in June.
Deputy Governor, Barrister Kingsley Otuaro, who made the disclosure in his speech during the funeral mass for the late ex-footballer held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Illah, said Keshi was a good ambassador of the state.
In his message to the family, the deputy governor urged the Keshi family to take solace in the fact that the ex-footballer lived a fulfilled life full of accomplishments.
He explained that immortalising the name of Keshi would be a mark of honour for his selfless service and contribution to the development of football in Nigeria.
“The government of Delta state is already working out modalities to immortalise our dear skippo because he brought so much excellence into the game of football and we are very proud of him.
“As Nigerians, we cannot in a hurry forget the contributions he has made to our nation. He came, saw and conquered. Adieu, the Big Boss,” Otuaro said.
The corpse of the ex-footballer was interred amidst tears by family members and colleagues after a funeral church service at the St. John the Evagelist Catholic Church, Illah, Oshimili North LGA of Delta state.
