Why I wear Aba-made clothes – John Fashanu

Ex-footballer and Ambassador for sports and Tourism, John Fashanu, has opened up on his failed marriage which recently stirred up a lot of controversies. He has equally explained why he wears ‘Aba-Made’ clothes.
In a chat with The Punch, Fashanu recalled that he faced so many controversies following his divorce.

He said “That was barely five months ago. It was about the divorce, but the lovely thing about it is that when the dust settles, you are able to shake hands and agree to move on without any showbiz interference.

“Both of us are mature enough to move on with our lives.

I have moved on four steps higher and I am sure the other party will step up and do wonderful things.

In the world of showbiz, any publicity is good publicity.

I always try to turn lemon into lemonade. I have always been a game changer.

I am someone that takes an A and turns it into B.

“People will always say things about you. Those things they say do not stop or end you.

If there is anything, they give you more encouragement to prove to people that what they say is wrong,” he added.

Speaking further, Fashanu said, “I do not believe anybody in Nigeria should be hungry.

It will be to our disadvantage if we continue to import goods from outside the country.

“A lot of my friends are surprised that most of my clothes are made in Aba, where some of the best tailors in Nigeria are located,” he noted.
