My husband wants to kill me, woman tells court

A housewife, Kafilat Mukaila, has accused her husband, Olaoye, of attempting to strangulate her to death before an Osogbo Customary Court .

The woman also accused her husband of neglecting her and her children and battery whenever he saw her with any man.

She told the court that her husband stalked her but did not show her love at all.

Kafilat said her husband grabbed her while she was asleep and made an attempt to strangulate her but her cry woke up her neigbhours who intervened .

Kafilat urged the court to dissolve the union.

But the husband, who denied the allegations raised against him by his wife pleaded with the court not to dissolve the union.

He told the court that he stopped battering his wife since May last year.

The President  of the Court, Chief  Odelola,  adjourned the case till February  23 and urged the couple to resolve their misunderstanding before the said date.
