Police sergeant kill 3 in Lagos

It was tragic Christmas for a police Sergeant and three other persons as the Policeman, who was identified as Sergeant Stephen James, opened fire on the innocent citizens at a hotel in Ketu.

The Hotel was identified as Paulson Hotel located on Anibaba Street in Ketu.

The Police Spokesman in Lagos, Mr. Joe Offor, an Assistant Superintendent of Police confirmed that the police sergeant acted on the influence of alcohol which was against the police act.

He said that under the Liquor Act, that nobody is supposed to sell alcohol to a policeman, adding that the Lagos State police command will prosecute the owner of the hotel.

Offor identified the irate policeman as being attached to MOPOL 22 on Oduduwa Street Ikeja, adding that the force is also investigating how the sergeant got to Ketu and who posted him to the area.

He said that the corpse of the slain persons have been deposited at Ikorodu General Hospital morgue.
