December deadline for Boko Haram may be extended - Buhari

President Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has said he may extend the December deadline he earlier gave to the military to flush out Boko Haram from the shores of the country, the BBC reports.
“If there are exigencies that require the modification of the time frame, the federal government will not hesitate to do so,” Buhari was quoted as saying.
DAILY POST recalls that Buhari had in August this year set a December 31 deadline for the military to stamp out insurgency in the north-east part of the country.
The military, have, however succeeded in taking back most of the territories held by Boko Haram.
