BREAKING: Former Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi dies at 54

The Former Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, is dead. A tweet on the Nigeria Football Federation’s handle, @thenff, says the legend died in the early hours of Wednesday.
The former international football player and coach, lost his wife, Kate, last year after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Court jails teenager over Facebook posts

A Malaysian teenager was sentenced to one year in jail on Tuesday over Facebook posts which insulted the royal family in a Southern state, the Deputy Public Prosecutor said.

Wada lacks legal right to question Bello’s nomination – Tribunal

The Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja has ruled that the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the November 21 and December , 2015 governorship election ‎in the state, Idris Wada, lacked locus standi to question the nomination of his All Progressives Congress counterpart, Yahaya Bello.
The Justice Hamima Mohammed-led tribunal made this pronouncement while upholding the preliminary of objection filed by Bello, the APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission to challenging Wada’s petition.

Jide Kosoko’s wife, Henrietta, dies at 53

A source in the industry who pleaded anonymity said the actress developed complications after an automobile accident she had late last year, while travelling in her car.
The car reportedly suffered brakes failure and crashed, with Henriatta sustaining injuries in the head.

Buhari may extend 10-day trip — Report

An online medium, Sahara Reporters, on Monday evening reported that President Muhammadu Buhari might extend his  10-day trip to London, where he had gone to treat an ear infection.
According to the report, Buhari needs to undergo treatment for “a terrible cough that has persisted longer than the ear infection.”

Poor economy’ll pull down Buhari’s reign – Fayose

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said the poor state of the nation’s economy will continue throughout the tenure of President Muhammadu Buhari and will lead to the collapse of his government.
He spoke during a thanksgiving service to mark the first anniversary of the Fifth Assembly of the Ekiti State House of Assembly at the Government House Chapel, Ado Ekiti, on Sunday.
