I won’t assent Social Media Bill - Buhari tells senate

President Mohammadu Buhari Monday distanced himself from the proposed Social Media Bill currently being debated in the senate seeking to restrict Nigerians from “criticizing”, political and public office holders.

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he may extend the December deadline he earlier gave to the military to flush out Boko Haram from the shores of the country, the BBC reports.
“If there are exigencies that require the modification of the time frame, the federal government will not hesitate to do so,” Buhari was quoted as saying.
