NSCDC, Public Complaints Commission to enhance collaboration

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Commandant Vincent Ogu JP has assured a purposely partnership with the Public Complaints Commission on dispute resolution in the State.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Command's Spokesperson, DSC Okadigbo Edwin stated that, "The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Anambra State Command has pledged to partner purposely with the Public Complaints Commission on dispute resolution.

This willingness to partner was expressed on Wednesday 8th of September 2021 when Mr. Vincent Ogu JP, the State Commandant of NSCDC Anambra State Command received in audience, Hon. Mrs. Emelda Nwajiofor-Okoli Federal Commissioner Public Complaint Commission, Anambra State together with other Senior Management staff of the Commission on a courtesy visit at the State Command Headquarters Awka."


According to Okadigbo, "Mr. Ogu appreciated the Honourable Federal Commissioner PCC Anambra State and her team for the visit pledging to assist the Commission in actualization of its mandate on investigation of any matter where there is injustice against any person by either an individual (s) or any Government Office; Ministry, Department, Agency or Corporation or non- Government Office (Private Company or Public Company).

The State Commandant ended his remarks by assuring the Commission of continued support and partnership in any area of their request."

Earlier, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Public Complaint Commission, Anambra State; Mrs Emelda Nwajiofor-Okoli informed the State Commandant that the Commission is a grievance - handling body insulated from politics that plays the role of a watchman in receiving Complaints from aggrevied person(s) who had suffered any form of administrative injustice.

"She solicited for more collaboration from NSCDC in tackling complaints from aggrevied person (s) promising to speedily treat, and dispense justice on any complaints brought to her office.

In this way she said the Commission would have been able to give redress, douse tension and assuage the aggrieved through timely intervention.

Hon. Emelda said her visit was to familiarize, acquaint and seek for more Synergy among the two federal government agencies and by extension, the larger society."

Meanwhile, the visit ended with both Agencies agreeing to synergize in administering and delivering of quality services to the Public.
