Operation Restore Peace: DIG Jitoboh Visits Delta Command, Advised Officers To Be Proactive •Says, modalities for improved welfare in place

The Theatre Commander, Operation Restore Peace, South-South Zone, DIG Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, has cautioned police officers to be proactive and always be at alert at their various place of operations.

The DIG who made this known when he visited the Deltan State Command on Thursday, said never again should they fold their hands and allow miscreants to come and attack them.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by the Delta State Police Command's Spokesperson, DSP Edafe Bright stated that, "On 3/6/21 at about 1130 hours, the Deputy Inspector General of Police department of research and planning, who is also the theatre commander operation restore peace, South South zone visited the command."

"Officers present to welcome the DIG includes the AIG Zone 5 head Qtrs Benin City AIG Isaac Akinmoyede fdc, the Commissioner of Police Delta State Command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+, Officers and men of the command.

He had an emotional and soul searching lecture with officers and men of the command.

The slogan “NEVER AGAIN” was echoed by all officers and was indeed a big morale booster to the confidence of the men, which signals and end to the killings of police officers and burning down of police facilities and public properties, he said the IGP USMAN ALKALI BABA PSC+ Fdc NPM, has directed all DIG’S of the various geopolitical zones to go round their zones and boost the morale of the men, which happens to be his main reason for the visit to the command. He advised officers to be proactive, beware of their environment at all times.

Never again should they fold their hands and allow miscreants to come and attack them.

He assured all that modalities has been put in place to ensure that the welfare of the police is improved, and that the IGP is determined to see that police officers in the country are motivated.

The Commissioner of Police Delta state CP Ari Muhammed Ali seized the opportunity to extend the command profound gratitude to the Inspector general of police IGP Alkali Usman Baba psc+, NPM, fdc who deemed it necessary to deploy personnel to the command during this present predicament through operation restore peace, he said the men deployed have in no small way added to the security architecture of the state.
