ES LSSTF, DR. BALOGUN HAILS GOV. SANWO-OLU AT 56; DESCRIBES HIM AS A VISIONARY GOVERNOR AT THE FOREFRONT OF A SAFE AND SECURE LAGOS

By Oki Samson

It is a day of high appreciation, celebration, and laudation for the man, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu whose 56 years on the face of the earth has been marked with remarkable feats and trendsetting efforts.

Since 2019, this sweet fragrance has become even more perceived in public service towards the development of Lagos which is Nigeria's 'pot of wealth' and West Africa's economic hub.

'For me, being at the helms of a significant organization in the state administration such as the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), I have been able to experience many dimensions of the blessing that God bequeathed Lagos in the man Aduragbemi!

This is more so that security and governance forms a central focus of the T.H.E.M.E.S. agenda which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is using to pilot the affairs of Lagos' says the Executive Secretary/CEO of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Abdulrazaq Balogun.

Dr. Balogun continued: 'I must say that I was part of many landmark legislations including the one that birthed the LSSTF during my 12 year stay in the Lagos House of Assembly. And I must say we have moved in leaps and bounds under Gov. Sanwo-Olu'.

'I hail the giant strides that we have achieved under Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

It is clear that security in Lagos has been under increased target lately but like a cool-headed General at the forefront of battle, the Governor has with his calm disposition and deft brilliance quelled violence.'

'All security agencies have been buoyed with modern crime fighting equipment - the latest being the ones handed over by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR on his recent visit to Lagos on June 10.

This includes 150 double cabin vehicles, 30 saloon patrol vehicles, 1000 ballistic vests, 1000 ballistic helmets, 1000 handheld police radios/walkie talkie, 100 security patrol bikes, 2 armored personnel carriers, 4 high-capacity troop carriers, 2 anti-riot water cannon vehicles, office/command furniture and other ancillary support resources. In the past, the security agencies in Lagos have enjoyed similar gestures.

Through the Lagos Enforcement Training Institute (LETI), the state-owned agencies have also been delivered body-worn cameras to increase security monitoring and consciousness.

The LSSTF have won many awards and accolades, I must affirm', the medical doctor cum public servant shared with Trek Africa Newspaper.

'What more can we say than for God to protect and guide the arrowhead of this achievement-oriented administration in Lagos.

And for God to imbue him with strength, grace, and prowess to be able to implement the THEMES agenda.'
