DELTA POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, KIDNAPPERS ...RESCUE KIDNAPPED VICTIM, RECOVER EXHIBITS

The Delta State Police Command has recorded another achievements following the arrest of suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and rescue of a kidnapped victim among others.

The State Command's Acting Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe revealed this in a press statement released and e-signed stated that, "On the 28/3/2021 at about 2000hrs, acting on actionable intelligence, operatives of State Intelligent Bureau (SIB) led by one Inspr. Obot Bassey in collaboration with mobile personnel attached to Warri Refinery arrested three (3) suspects namely: one Saturday Idoge ‘m’, Sunday ishenive ‘m’ and Philip Ngbodi ‘m’ all staff of Alert private security company attached to PPMC/Refinery Warri."

According to Edafe, They were caught vandalizing Armored Cables and other electrical installations in the PPMC Refinery Warri at Tank 82 in the refinery complex.

"The following exhibits were recovered from them. Includes one ladder, industrial iron cutters, vandalized Armored Cables and other items. Meanwhile, effort is ongoing to apprehend the receivers.


"In Line with the Commissioner of Police Delta state Command, Cp Ari Muhammed Ali, desire to ensure a crime free Delta, the command has been on the constant trail of criminals who specializes on snatching vehicles.

On the 29/3/2021 at about 0945hrs, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, burst the syndicate that specialized in car theft, where parked, in the process one Michael Okotete ‘m’ 41yrs of Estate Mashoro Warri was arrested.

The suspect confessed to have participated in many operations with his members who now at large.

He led the operatives to one of his gang members who on sighting the policemen ran and abandoned a Toyota Corolla car with Reg. No. PTN 152 PIN, the vehicle was recovered. Meanwhile Manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang is ongoing.


Sequel to the kidnap of one one William Aduwoma on 27th March 2021 at about 1800hours by armed kidnappers, the command has been on the trail of the kidnappers, and have employed all tactics necessary, it finally paid off as On the 29/23/2021 at about 2100hrs, based on the intelligence gathering and tireless effort by the Commissioner of police to see that the victim is recused unhurt, men from ozoro police station identified the location of the kidnappers through technical intelligence and stormed the location around Arhade bush.

The operation led by The Divisional police officer Ozoro comprising of police patrol teams, local hunters and vigilante who comb the hooks and crannies in a bid to rescue the kidnapped victim and for possible arrest of the hoodlums.

While the Police rescue teams were in Arhade bush in search of the victim, at about 0315hrs on sighting the Police the kidnappers hurriedly abandoned the said victim at Ebendo a neigbouring village to Arhade.


The victim was rescued and presently receiving treatment in a private hospital. A manhunt is on for the fleeing kidnappers.

Members of the public are enjoined to report any suspicious movement around them to the police, this is one of the major way to avert crime in the state, as the commissioner of police CP ARI MUHAMMED ALI, will always say, ‘‘crime has no jurisdiction’’ stop crime today so it may not get you your turn tomorrow.

"On 30/3/2021 at about 1620hrs, a distress call was received from one by the Divisional Police Officer Bomadi, that at about 1600hrs while he was hangout with friends and Vic-Mut Hotel along Oboro road Bomadi he sighted seven (7) boys armed with four (4) locally made guns to his greatest surprise the boys surrounded them and kidnapped one Joshua Okorodas ‘m’ age 24yrs and took him in a tricycle with a plate number covered and other motorcycles.

"The DPO mobilised a patrol team that gave the kidnappers a hot chase along Tuomo road off Bomadi town.

In the process one Mishael Itodi ‘m’ 25 from Kaima/Agudama of Bayelsa State was arrested and the victim was rescued and the tricycle was recovered. Serious Man hunt is on going for the fleeing members of the gang.

Pin down point/intensive stop and search duty is one of the modus-operandi of the Commissioner of Police, and the CP has always warned DPOS to key in to his vision and pattern of policing the public.

The Acting PPRO further stated that, "This has continued to pay of as criminals no longer have a free day in Delta State, On the 30/3/2021 at about 2200hrs, Kwale Divisional patrol team, while on patrol/stop and search duty along Otagbo-Uno street Kwale, one Lucky Uzoma ‘m’ age 30yrs was intercepted and when search conducted one (1) cut-to-size gun and two (2) live and one (1) expanded cartridges were recovered from him. Serious investigation and interrogation is ongoing."


Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP ARI MUHAMMED ALI, is using this medium to thank members of the public who has been of help in one way or the other by way of giving useful information to the police, this has been of immense help in the fight against crime in the state the Cp also wish to thank members of the press who has equally been playing their role, getting this messages across to members of the public is not an easy one, we are all in a selfless service to humanity and without the contribution of journalist all over, the command will not be able to do alone.

"He also want to appreciate the immense contribution of our local vigilante, and anti cult units, the police will not be able to do it alone with your help.

The CP also enjoined members of the public to key into this successful trend against criminals by helping the police with useful information that will help in the fight against crime.
