POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBERS, KIDNAPPERS, CULTISTS IN DELTA

...Arms,  Charms Recovered as Officers Displays Gallantry, Professionalism during Operations 

In his commitment to make Delta State  unsafe for criminal elements, the state commissioner, of CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+ with the collaborative efforts of the Divisional Police Officers have recorded Resounding success in the fight against crime and insecurity in the area state.

With the adoption of  intelligence gathering mechanism, modern community policing strategy and Citizen participation through provision of timely and vital information,  the Delta state Police has redefined Policing system.

In a Press Release made available to the National Association Association of Online Security News Publishers  [NAOSNP], CP Alli reiterated his promise to make Delta safe and Secured for all and sundries.

Following an intelligence report made to the Police earlier Today, Wednesday 24th, 2021,

on the activities of armed robbers,  gang of  Kidnappers terrorizing the state and an attack on Policemen which resulted into snatching of their service rifles, The Commander of Eagle-Net Special Squad,  SP DIMKA USMAN detailed his Team led by DSP INUSA DANYAYA and some Civilian Anti-Cult Unit stormed a notorious criminal hideout in Oghor community, Udu local government.

On the arrival of the Police Patrol Team and Civilian Anti-cultism group, a gun battle ensued between the officers  and the hoodlums which led to the arrest eleven(11) suspects.

According to the information made available to National Association of Online Security News Publishers [NAOSNP], the following are the identities of the suspects;

Henry Ogori,  Male, 25-year-old with a residential address , 18 Ifiha street Udu, Kennedy Akpotu ,  Male, 19year-old of Oghor community Udu, Promise Ophiomo Male 24-year-old  of NO.35 Ogbe road udu,  Daniel Believe, Male 19Year-old  of Shell Quarters  DSC, Daniel Sele, Male, 25-year-old  of Ogbe street Udu, Paul Zion,  Male, 25-year-old Oghor Community Udu, Igah Aminu. Male ,27-Year-old of Sadisco Area, Warri, Philip Choice, Male ,26-Year-ld of Oghor Community, Joshua Ogunamen ‘m’ 21yrs, (10) Johnson Opiomo,  Male, 22-Year-old of 36 Ogbe Road and   Joshua Godswill,  24-year-old of Ujewu Quality, Udu.

NAOSNP learnt that One of the suspects, Igah Aminu later died as a result of the gun shot injury he sustained during the exchange of fire.

"The exhibits recovered includes; two (2) English made Beretta Pistols, three (3) rounds of live 9mm caliber of ammunition and six (6) Mobile Phones. Upon interrogation, the  Suspects confessed to the crime and effort has been intensified to arrest the  suspects who escaped with bullet injuries", the  Press Release partly read.

In a same vein, at about 1pm on Tuesday 23rd March,  2021, an unnamed indigene of Ovade community  alerted the Police that along Oviade road to Oghara, he came across three young men armed with a short barrel gun.

The armed robbery men blocked his path and attempted to snatch his unregistered Daylong Motorcycle but he escaped from the scene.

He raised an  alarm immediately that attracted the attention of a passersby; they both gave them a hot chase and one of the armed men was apprehended.

Upon the receipt of the incident, the Divisional Police Officer of Oghara community mobilized Patrol Officers to the scene where they met one of the suspect, one Gabriel Igodo,  Male 35-Year-old already beaten to stupor. 

The Policemen rushed the suspect to the hospital where he later died. One short barrel gun with one live cartridge was recovered from him.

The acting Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright said that the command has started investigation to arrest the other fleeing suspects. 

"On Wednesday,  24th March 2021, a distress call was received from the S/O Ekakpmre OutPost, under Otu-Jeremi Division, that member of confraternity cult group, led by one oghenerona Young Goddy, Male alias King Jaja of Ekakpmre/Egbou Hurie communities Otu-Jeremi went to the home of one Ebeni Jelekun Male 29-Year-Old of Ekakpmre, who belong to Aiye confratanity cult group shot him severally and fled.

The Divisional police officer otu-jeremi CSP Pius Eredei led Patrol Teams to the scene, Six (6) expanded ‘AA’  cartridges were recovered.

The victim was rushed to Otu-Jeremi General hospital where he was confirmed dead by the Doctor on duty. The corpse was deposited in the Otu-Jeremi general hospital mortuary", the release further stated.

The Divisional Police officer has intensified effort to arrest the other suspects.

It was also reported that Two (2) Cultists Omoyevwe Emmanuel,  Male,  29-Year-Old  and Marcus Michael, Male,  24-year-old  both of Usienfurun community were nabbed with Charms.

CP Alli urged members of the public to give useful information and continue to support the Police  to rid state of men of the underworld the  and reduce crime to the bearest minimum level. He also assured them of confidentiality.

 "Together let Us all make Delta safe for everybody", Alli said.
