DELTA CP VISITS SISTER AGENCIES, SEEKS GREATER COOPERATION FOR SAFETY

In a bid to solidify interagency relationships, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali FCIA, PSC+, has paid courtesy visits to sister agencies in the state.

According to DSP Edafe Bright, the Command's Public Relations Officer, in a statement released to National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), the commissioner's efforts are hinged on the continued need to maintain a healthy working relationship between the police and other formations in Delta State.

Ali's tour which kicked off on March 15, 2021 and was concluded on the 19th, witnessed visitations to the office of the Delta State Director of the Department of State Service (DSS), Mr Ademola Adebiyi mni, fsi; the office of the Delta Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Corps Commander Uche Peter Wihioka; Nigeria Navy Ship, Naval Base, Warri and the Nigeria Airforce Base.


During the tour, Ali expressed his desire for peaceful coexistence between the Police and members of other agencies, as only a close partnership and cooperation will help curb the insecurity in the state.

All the agencies visited variously appreciated the Commissioner of Police for taking time out to visit them, stressing the need to be on the same page with the Police as the lead agency when it comes to internal security.

The CP also visited the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Asaba, where issues of importance were raised and ironed out.

There, he pleaded with the Medical Director, Dr Victor A. Osiatuma to ensure that any patient with gunshot injuries is treated even without police report, as it is important to save lives first.

"You can inform the Police after saving the life, for further action," CP Ali cautioned.

In continuation of the tour, he also visited the NNPC, DESOPADEC, DPR, Nigeria Ports Authority, all in Warri, Delta State, and admonished everyone to continue to work with the police for a safer Delta State.
