Morata Injured As Man City Beat Chelsea

Antonio Conte's men were pipped by a lone goal by City and worse off the Blues top striker was injured and was forced off midway into the game.

Chelsea were dealt a double blow on Saturday in their Premier League clash against Manchester City at the Bridge.

Antonio Conte's men were pipped by a lone goal and the Blues top striker, Alvaro Morata was injured midway into the game.

The Spain international was not challenged by any City player, but pulled up with an injury before he was withdrawn from action.

It was Kevin De Bruyne who came back to haunt his former club to score the only goal of the game in West London as Pep Guardiola's side picked up a deserved victory from a match they truly dominated.

The three points from Saturday's game was all City needed to retain their number one position on the log as they now have 19 points from seven games.

The result also means that City have now kept four consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time under Guardiola and have won their last five top-flight away games, equalling the club record initially set in 1912.
