Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has
proposed a squad of 18 foreign-based professionals and five players from the
domestic league for next month’s AFCON qualifier in Tanzania.
However, there are suggestions that
Oliseh should accommodate more players from the domestic league for the
match against Tanzania.
The foreign-based pros are expected
to fly directly to Tanzania, where they will join up with the coaches and the
players from the league.
The Eagles training camp is expected
to open on Sunday, August 16, in Abuja with players from the domestic league.
The players who impress in this
training camp will make the final squad to Tanzania.
On Wednesday, NFF technical
committee chairman Felix Anyansi-Agwu confirmed that Oliseh, who has been in
Europe monitoring and meeting with the country’s top stars, will arrive Nigeria
on August 14.
