Technology players ditch competition for Tech+ conference

The much advocated coopetition among Nigeria’s Technology industry players for the betterment of the sector, may not be farfetched anymore. Coopetition is a disruptive word which challenges operators to play less competition and encourage more cooperation among themselves for the good of the economy.

Although the call has permeated every sector of the economy due to the benefits experienced in convergence of ideas worldwide, it has never experienced a positive response in Nigeria.
However, things seem to be changing now with the coming of a technology event tagged Tech+ conference.
Perhaps, there may  not have been too many events before now, that garnered as much support as this Technology Conference and Exhibitions  billed to hold on July 24-25 in Lagos.
MTN Nigeria,  Huawei, Jumia, Google, Coscharis Motors, Samsung, Terragon Group, Enplug  Africa, Atlantic Exhibition as well as the  Lagos State  Signage and Advertising Agency,  LASAA, were all present at the media launch of the initiative held in Lagos recently. Their reason: they believe that  Tech+  will showcasetechnology at its best with a view to helping people get the best out of life through optimizing the wide spectrum  technological development.
Speaking in his address,  Mr.  Richard Iweanoge,  the General Manger,  Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria,  said:  “As we all know, technology is fast evolving and the world has become a global village where people from across the globe can communicate with one another with just a touch of a button. At times like these, it is important that we stay in touch with the world around us and keep track of the latest innovations that impact our world and our current existence.
Also speaking in her brief remarks, Head of Communications, Jumia,  Bertille Guitton said her company’s involvement in  TECH+  stems from the important roles Technology has played in making life easier. She stated  that the company has deployed technology to simplify commerce in the last three years of operations in the country.
Meanwhile, Coscharis Motors,  has  announced that the company will  launch the Jaguar XE range at the Tech+ Conference and Exhibitions.   General Manager, Marketing & Corporate Services, Abiona Babarinde  said:  “We operate a business that thrives on innovations. This is why we are the unique market leaders in the elite automobile sector. The Jaquar XE compact range is a statement on Technological advancement and TECH+ Conference and Exhibitions offer a unique platform to unveil it to the Nigerian public, “he said.
Mr. Tunji Adeyinka, whose company, Connect Marketing Services Limited, is organizing the  conference  said:  “Tech+ is a “gathering of everything technology” under one roof, and it promises real time experience of the world of technology as well as the  offer of a rich window of opportunities that could be maximized to whatever benefit.”
