Real Madrid fans fail to hail Eden Hazard but chant another name

Real Madrid fans failed to hail to their new signing Eden Hazard during his presentation on Thursday evening at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
The fan at the Stadium made their feelings known to the club directors during the presentation of Hazard as the crowd chanted the name of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

BREAKING: NBC Shutdown AIT, Raypower’s Licences Indefinitely

The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Thursday suspends the operating license of the Daar Communications PLC, operator of AIT and Ray Power.


The NBC Director-General, Dr Modibbo Kawu, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja, saying the Daar Communication Limited’s media houses’ shutdown was until further notice.

He noted that the decision was not taken on partisan consideration.

Guru Maharaji to Buhari: Appoint me special adviser to oversee petroleum, other ministries

The founder of the One Love Family, Sat Guru Maharaj ji, Tuesday called on President Muhammed Buhari to appoint him as his ‘spiritual adviser.’
He said this has become necessary because other religious groups and their leaders have failed.
Maharaj ji made the request during a press conference to mark the 26 years ‘Anniversary Celebrations of Nigeria Declaration as the new Holy Land of the Universe.’
The event was held at Maharaj ji village, along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.

Man claims Jesus saved him from being gay

- A young man narrated the testimony of how he was saved by Jesus Christ
- The man explained how God brought him out of homosexuality
- Derrick noted that there is no gay gene, advising people not to let life cheat them from salvation
A Twitter user has taken to the popular micro-blogging platform to narrate his experience with Jesus Christ. The Twitter user identified simply as Derrick claimed that he was saved from being gay.

Gbajabiamila denies being convicted of any crime in Nigeria or abroad

House of Representatives Majority Leader Femi Gbajabiamila has denied that he was ever convicted of a crime anywhere in Nigeria or overseas as had been in the news. The Nation reports that Gbajabiamila's campaign put to rest reports making the rounds that he was convicted of a crime somewhere in the United States.

Director-General of the Gbajabiamila Campaign Organisation Abdulmumin Jibrin, said the claims were attempts to smear the character of Gbajabiamila, the leading Speakership candidate for the 9th Assembly.

FCT Court summons Gbajabiamila over alleged perjury

- Femi Gbajabiamila has been summoned by a court in the FCT over alleged perjury just days before he is due to contest for the position of Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives.

- The perjury case was filed against him by Action Peoples Party (APP) which claimed he had been lying to INEC is his forms to the electoral body since 2003 - The party claimed Gbajabiamila failed to mention that he was allegedly convicted of a crime by a Georgia Supreme Court when he was a lawyer in the United States of America Majority leader of the House of Representatives in the outgoing 8th National Assembly Femi Gbajabiamila, has been summoned to appear before a Federal Capital Territory (FCT) court.

Former Nigerian dictator's £210m seized from Jersey account

More than $267m (£210m) belonging to a former Nigerian dictator has been seized from a Jersey bank account.
The money was "derived through corruption" during the presidency of Sani Abacha in the 1990s, according to Jersey's Civil Asset Recovery Fund .
A shell company called Doraville held the funds, which were frozen in 2014.
After a five-year legal wrangle, the money has now been recovered and will be split between Jersey, the United States and Nigeria.
