Python bites Thai man's penis in terrifying toilet encounter

A man in Thailand is recovering in hospital after a python latched its fangs onto his penis while he was using his toilet earlier this week.

Rescuers arrived to find the python's head hanging from the bathroom door, secured by a rope, with the rest of the snake still stuck in the squat toilet at the man's home in Chachoengsao Province, east of Bangkok.

Outrage as 30 men rape 16-year-old, post video online

Two gang rapes of teenage girls including one supposedly involving 30 men that was filmed and posted online have shocked Brazil.
The UN women’s rights agency condemned the cases after the video was posted on Twitter apparently by one of the rapists who boasted about the assault.

Five policemen missing in Rivers after ambush

THE Rivers State Police Command on Fridaydeclared five policemen missing after an ambush by unknown gunmen on Wednesdayat Okujagu waterways in Okrika Local Government Area.
The command also announced the arrest of 53 suspects in connection with the missing policemen.
State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Muhammad, said in a statement that the policemen were part of a team that were on a routine police inquiry when they were attacked before they could disembark from the boat conveying them.

Nobody can arrest Jonathan, Ijaw youths tell Buhari

The Ijaw Youths Congress on Thursday warned the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government not to contemplate arresting former President Goodluck Jonathan over the ongoing probe of massive fraud and embezzlement alleged to have taken place under his administration.
The youths, who converged  at the Wellington Hotel Effurrun, Delta State, for the 2016 annual Major Isaac Boro anniversary celebration with the theme, “The ideals of Adaka Boro and the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta: The way forward,” criticised the present administration for limiting its anti-corruption campaign only to the Jonathan regime.

Hajj agent jailled six years for N1.5m fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday secured the conviction of one Mallam Kabiru Jibrin before Justice Joseph Awak of Gombe State High Court after he was found guilty of a three-count charge bordering on obtaining N1.5 million by false pretence.

Colonel jailed seven years for duping church of N34.5m

Justice M. N. Yunusa of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu has sentenced Col. Eugene Okpala (retd.) to seven years in prison in a case of conspiracy, and obtaining money under false pretences to the tune of N34.5m.

Oil theft: EFCC closes case against 11 Indians, others

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has closed its case against the 11 Indians, three Ghanaians and two Nigerians being prosecuted at the Federal High Court in Calabar for illegal oil bunkering.
The 16 suspects are being prosecuted by EFCC following their arrest on board MT Maro on July 22, 2014 by officials of the Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
