Missing mom, daughter rescued from New Zealand forest

Hiker Rachel Lloyd said she was on the verge of dying when search and rescue crews found her and her mother five days after they got lost in the New Zealand wilderness.

The North Carolina natives set out on a day hike Tuesday but soon became lost in Tararua Forest Park in New Zealand. Rachel, 25, became injured and could no longer walk.

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has declared that the immediate past president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan should not have participated in the 2015 presidential election.

May Day: FG ignores N56, 000 minimum wage proposal

The Federal Government on Sunday kept mum over the recent demand by the organised labour for a new minimum wage of N56,000.
The issue of the minimum wage was not mentioned by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, at the May Day rally in Abuja.

Buhari alone can’t turn around Nigeria’s fortunes – Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday said President Muhammadu Buhari alone cannot turnaround Nigeria’s fortunes.

He said this in his May Day message to Nigerian workers. Atiku explained that notwithstanding the huge challenges the country and its people are facing, it will take the support of everyone working in tandem with the Buhari administration to lift the economy out of the doldrums.
